Located near Van Munching Hall and the Robert H. Smith School of Business. Three hundred fifty parking spaces within this facility are allocated for visitor parking on the top level of the garage. The hours of operation, as a digital pay station facility, are 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. daily. Parking rates for this facility are $3.00 per hour, with a $15.00 per day maximum and a $5 per day maximum on Saturday and Sunday. Walking Directions from Mowatt Parking Garage to Preinkert Field House
Use the WEST ELEVATOR to exit the parking garage. Immediately upon exiting the elevator, make 2 rights to exit the garage. Walk up the steps and head toward the large M embedded in the bricks on the pathway keeping the Robert H. Smith Business School (Van Munching Hall) to your left and Prince Frederick Hall to your right. At the end of the path turn right at the crosswalk and follow the concrete path to the bike racks. Walk up the small set of steps on your left. Take the first entrance you see to Preinkert on your left. Once you are in the building make your first right to go down to the end of the hallway, and turn left to EFC’s main office in room 1218.
Travel West on Rt. 50. Take the first exit (410 West/Riverdale Rd.). Go past the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and Route 201 until you see Route 1 (Rhode Island Avenue). Take Route 1 North. The Campus will be on the left.
Take 95 West to 295 South (Baltimore-Washington Parkway). Cross the Capitol Beltway (495) and proceed to Route 410 (Riverdale Road). Go West on 410 to Route 1 North to College Park. The campus will be on your left.
There are several options all leading to Rhode Island Avenue (Route 1) in the District. To see the National Mall, take the 14th Street Bridge into Washington, DC, and head East towards the Capitol on Constitution Avenue. Take North Capital Street (North) to Rhode Island Avenue (which is Route 1) to College Park. Alternately, take 14th Street North to Rhode Island Avenue (Route 1) North to College Park. The campus will be on your left.
From points North and South: Take Interstate 95 to the Capitol Beltway (95/495) to Maryland Exit 25 (Route 1, College Park). Head South on Route 1 for about 2 miles. The campus will be on your right. Follow the directions immediately below for Preinkert Field House. Please note that southbound traffic on Route 1 towards the campus is extremely heavy during morning rush hour.
Make a right onto Campus Drive (main campus entrance). Proceed to the campus traffic circle (at the "M") and continue straight on Campus Drive. Proceed through three stop signs (Stamp Student Union will be on your right.) After the third stop sign, follow Campus Drive as it curves to the left. At the next stop sign, Campus Drive turns into Preinkert Drive. Mowatt Lane Parking Garage is located at the end of Preinkert Drive (just before Mowatt Lane). Turn right into the garage and proceed to the upper level where visitor parking is available. After exiting the parking garage, turn to the left toward the School of Business until you see a narrow service lane heading up the hill directly to the back of Preinkert Hall. The EFC’s Main Office is located in Suite 1218.
Take the Green line (toward Greenbelt); get off at College Park/U of MD station. Shuttle UM picks up passengers from the Shuttle UM bus stop located on the EAST side of station. Shuttle service runs frequently, about every 10 minutes during peak hours. Get off the Shuttle-UM at the Regents Parking Garage (last stop). Walk south on Regents Drive toward the Circle M. Turn right on Campus Drive and continue walking along Campus Drive around to the left down toward the Art Sociology Building. Cross over Campus Drive and Preinkert Hall will be directly across from the Art Sociology Building. See campus map for more details.
