NFWF Capacity Building

Project Summary

Through a new partnership formed with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), the EFC has taken on a key role in providing technical support and direct assistance to NFWF’s new Local Government Capacity Building Initiative.  Through this program, supported by the federal government, fourteen local governments will be receiving assistance to overcome significant challenges that have been identified as barriers to improving water quality.  The assistance ranges from leveraging public-private partnership in Hampton, Virginia; conducting an MS4 inventory and management plan in Scranton, Pennsylvania; green infrastructure project design in Laurel and Bethel, Delaware; and developing a regional stormwater financing strategy for six municipalities in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
